A New Environmental Initiative: The Mental Clarity Forest

Hi everyone! Happy Earth Day. To celebrate, I'm really excited to announce a new partnership/initiative that’s actually going to involve many of you.

For a little bit of context: I have personally found that self-improvement, just by itself, can be unfulfilling. I would like to see the world also become a better place. All of my research on happiness also consistently points to the power of contributing to something that is bigger than yourself.

I am concerned about the environment, and there’s definitely a lot more that I could be doing to be more environmentally conscious, but there’s no better time than today to begin changing that.

Starting this month of April, I will be pledging 10% of my earnings from Patreon each month to plant trees as part of a new partnership that I have with Treedom, a wonderful tree planting company, based in Florence, Italy.

If you'd like to find out more, and further get involved, or track the progress of this project, all of the information is available here.

Also! As a new benefit on my Patreon page for everyone pledging at the $25+ tier, a tree in this forest will be gifted in your name, and the Treedom website is pretty fantastic in giving specific information and geotracking capabilities if you're interested in ever visiting the exact tree(s) in person.

This is a huge part of why I'm working with them – they're very transparent, and take a socially conscious approach to planting trees by helping underserved communities develop sustainable forms of income and food security.

You can help support this project and get access to other benefits like high resolution wallpapers of photos that I’ve taken, a private Discord group and bonus videos here.

Please know that whether or not you are directly supporting my work on Patreon, by simply watching and sharing my work, you are helping me make this a reality, so thank you! Let’s plant some trees!!

Bonus

→ I have launched a new series on loneliness where I will be seeking to get in touch with experts that help me understand and better approach the challenge of loneliness. You can check out my first piece here.

A truly incredible commencement speech that I discovered thanks to a YouTube comment. 100% worth checking out.

For Earth Day, Treedom have released a video that plants a tree with every 1,000 views they receive. Check it out and share it, so that we can hit their goal of 20,000 trees (20,000,000 views across all platforms). This is a completely free way to help have an impact.
